In 1997 “Sugar” Shane Mosley’s won his first world title. In ’98 and ‘99, he defended his title 7 times, winning all by knockout. "Sugar" moved up in weight and beat Oscar De La Hoya claiming the WBC Welterweight Title. In ‘03, he scored a unanimous decision over De La Hoya in their long anticipated rematch, winning the WBC and WBA Junior Middleweight Titles. Following 2 losses to Winky Wright, and at the age of 35, Sugar has dropped back into the lightweight division and is attempting to reclaim the world title.
